Einat Imber is an interdisciplinary artist. She writes: “As we advance along our personal timeline, we can be oblivious of change taking place: every day we recognize our reflection in the mirror as the same person we saw there yesterday. The work I make serves as a reminder of the constant journey we all partake in and the ones we long for.”

She sees herself as a process-based artist, working in collaboration with her environment, harnessing natural forces like gravity, sunlight, wind, rain, and ocean tides. Her materials list is constantly changing as she applies a media that will inform each project. Through her work she asks: What role does human agency play in determining any outcome? Can we change the course of our planet? She does not attempt to answer these questions, but rather uses her art practice as an open inquiry, a place for considering ideas.

Imber’s work has been exhibited throughout the U.S. and Bulgaria. She was born in Israel, and she lives and works in the Hudson Valley of New York.
